- 1894- Tsar Alexander III dies, leaving the throne to his son, Nicholas II
- November 15, 1895- Olga is born
- 1896, May 14- Tsar Nicholas II and Tsarina Alexandra Foedorovna are coronated
- June 10,1897- Tatiana is born
- June 26, 1899- Maria is born
- June 18, 1901- Anastasia is born
- 1903- Rasputin arrives in St. Petersburg
- August 12, 1904- Alexei is born
- 1904- Russia attempts to defend itself against Japan and is defeated badly
- 1905, Jan 22- Bloody Sunday Massacre
- Rioters gather at the palace in St. Petersburg to protest the government and the rising food prices. When palace guards fire upon the protesters, people grow even angrier with the situation and the imperial family.
- 1905- Grigory Rasputin meets the Romanov family at the palace in St. Petersburg
- 1913?- Rasputin strongly advises Nicholas not to get involved with World War One
- 1914- Tsar Nicholas takes control of the Russian army to prevent a German invasion and leaves Alexandria in charge
- Russia is defeated and the multitude of casualties, rising prices, and food shortages causes discontent and riots
- The political tension spirals into a crisis with the nobles on one side and peasants on the other.
- 1916, December- Rasputin writes a letter to the Tsar predicting his own death and the outcomes
- 1916, Dec 30- Rasputin is killed at Yusupov Palace
- 1917- Russian Revolution of 1917
- The protests against the Tsar reach the army and Nicholas is forced to abdicate, giving all power to the Provisional Government.
- July 17, 1918- The Romanov family is executed
